The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency stated it truly is alarmed about the significant range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some higher number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office committed to service the area on a regular basis. The services point established for intervention activities a large inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for that office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more methods to allow the servicing of all customers and raise entry to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
